DRUG INTERACTIONS: Avoid

flexeril drug anti-seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine), medicine for sleep (e.g., sedatives), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine), tranquilizers. Check all prescription
flexeril drug and nonprescription medicine labels (e.g., cough-and-cold products, diet aids, acid reducers) because they may contain ingredients which could increase the risk of side effects with cyclobenzaprine. Ask

FLEXERIL DRUG

Flexeril drug (Cyclobenzaprine)
DRUG CLASS AND MECHANISM: Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxant. Specifically, cyclobenzaprine relieves muscle spasm when the spasm is due flexeril drug to local problems (that is, problems originating in the muscle itself and not in the flexeril drug nerves controlling the muscles).
